About Our Association:
The San Diego County Farriers Association is Charter Member #50 of the American Farriers Association (AFA). It is one of
the largest charter member associations in the United States.
Founded in 1992, SDCFA was begun to help promote Farrier Science in San Diego County and to help draw well respected
clinicians to the area to present their experiences and expertise.
The founding members of SDCFA include Dave Redman, Jason Harmeson, Joe Elliot, Dave Iverson, and Scott Curtis.
In addition to offering informative clinics for all aspects of the Farrier trade, SDCFA was approved in 2006 as a RACE
provider, ID 273.
RACE is a national clearinghouse for approval of continuing education providers and their programs. Providers voluntarily
apply to the RACE program agree to abide by the RACE standards.
