SDCFA Mission

To promote the sound and safe practice of Farrier Science within the San Diego County equine
community through education and hands-on experience
What does the SDCFA do?

As a non-profit organization, the SDCFA is an all volunteer association.  Annual elections are held to
fill SDCFA board of director positions.

SDCFA publishes a monthly newsletter and this website to provide information to the local farrier
community.

SDCFA promotes educational clinics for local farriers, through invitation to industry clinicians, who
provide educational instruction and hands on experience, promoting the safe practice of Farrier
Science.

Manufacturers and suppliers to the Farrier industry are also invited to put on clinics for advances
in tools, supplies and other techniques that are also useful to farriers out in the field.

SDCFA sponsors fun events through out the year for the local farrier community as well as the
community in which we all live.
